What are the benefits of associate membership?

• A forum for the exchange of timely information and profitable ideas to help you plan and manage your business.
• Introduction to admiralty specialists serving in the “Marine Law network” whether you need legal assistance across town or across the country.
• Marine Loan Workshops that cover the basics of pleasure boat financing (marketing, credit, collections, etc.)
• Annual conferences with registration discounts to members.
• A voice representing your interests in Washington and state legislatures.
• Quarterly Newsletter “The Business of Pleasure Boats”.
• Website with “Members Only” section (www.marinebankers.org) Selection of “Loan Awareness” materials, promoting the affordability of marine financing.
• Access to the National Marine Manufacturers Association and the opportunity to leverage in NMMA’s boat shows, and the Discover Boating initiative to promote marine lending.
• Have a voice in the NMBA by electing a fellow Associate Member for a three-year term to serve on the NNBA Board of Directors.

What will it cost?

Dues are $445 per year (plus a $200 initiation fee for new members) with your company consisting of any corporation, or limited liability company, organized and located in the United States, whose principal business is in the following fields (Membership is subject to the approval of the Board of Directors):

• Marine documentation services
• Marine recovery agents
• Marine insurance agencies and/or companies
• Marine surveyors
• Marine industry associations
• Marine finance software and value publications
• Marine and admiralty attorneys
• Marine finance industry consultants
• Others who in the unanimous opinion of the Board of Directors are engaged in service to the marine industry, but who otherwise do not qualify as a Regular Member.

With the opportunities facing the financial community and the boating industry, we need a national association to generate information, help us discuss mutual goals, exchange ideas and represent us on legislative issues.
